Risk factors
The risks of holding the share
Total loss
HOOK is a small share on a young chain. Its price may fall to nothing. NAV per share is a floor for the standing bid, not for the market.
Distributions depend on volume
The distribution program pays only what the fee purchased. A quiet epoch pays little and a silent one pays nothing. Every rate published is history.
One pool, a fee both ways
HOOK trades on a single pool, and its price is set there by trading. The fee hook collects on entry and on exit alike, so a round trip pays the fee twice.
Venues outside the hook
The fee is collected by the HOOK/ETH pool. Any other pool holding HOOK, the desk's own positions included, charges its own fee and remits nothing to the machine. Should routers find HOOK cheaper through such a pool, volume and fee leave the machine.
Caps and cooldowns
The machine purchases and bridges up to a cap per settlement, once per cooldown. Fee may queue within it for hours, and the first machine still carries a backlog it clears one purchase per epoch.
The Liquidity Desk
A position carries the paired token's price risk and sells the appreciating side for the depreciating one as the price crosses its range. It is valued through other pools, which may be thin or stale. Desk positions are not backing.
Keys and roles
The treasury exposes an owner and an allocator, and the allocator may move the allocation bucket. Desk positions sit in the custody wallet listed under official channels. A compromise of those keys would place the allocation at risk. The backing bucket may be drawn only by redemptions.
Liveness
Nothing settles until the machine is poked. Settlement is permissionless and the Manager runs it on schedule as a convenience, but should it stall, fee rests at the hook and stakers wait.
Stablecoin, chain and contracts
The reserve is held in USDG, a dollar stablecoin, not in dollars. Everything settles on Robinhood Chain and halts with it. Every contract named here may carry a defect, and so may the terminal that reports them.
